The Enrichment Program of the CDMD seeks to create a rich and dynamic environment for learning and regular interaction between investigators at all levels. The Enrichment Program is co-directed by Dr. Peter Roach and Dr. Nuria Morral, both NIH funded diabetes researchers. The Enrichment Program consists of 3 major activities around which Center members and trainees from across 5 different T32 grants as well as medical students from the NIDDK Medical Student Research Program in Diabetes (see http://medicalstudentdiabetesresearch.org) will participate. The Ingestive Behavior Research Institute at Purdue University (http://www.purdue.edu/discoverypark/ibrc/index.php) , directed by Dr. Richard Mattes, Distinguished Professor and R01 funded investigator, is an Enrichment program partner providing seminars and a T32 training grant focused on ingestive behavior.
